You ready for another cottage update?! Well ready or not you’re going to get one! The floor has been installed, some furniture has been built, and some curtains have been hung. Let’s check it out.
This is the view from the “hallway” looking into the living room. And just to remind you, we used Benjamin Moore’s Gray Owl on the wall using Aura in an eggshell finish.
Something still needs to be done about that fireplace and the air conditioner is an absolute eye sore. It doesn’t get used and it’s not coming out either. Anybody have any good ideas to disguise it? I’m open to suggestions.
View from the kitchen looking into the living room. The one door leads into the “west wing” aka the mud room and the other door leads into a bedroom.
And this is the view from the “west wing” that looks into the living room and kitchen.
This is the “middle” bedroom. The walls also in here are Gray Owl, the cabinet doors and bottom bunk is Chantilly Lace, and the drawers are Hale Navy all from Benjamin Moore of course.
Check out that orange lamp though. It’s an original from when the cottage was built in the 1970s. Crazy that it still works!
And this is the “master bedroom.” The wall of curtains disguise two very ugly electrical panels.
And this is the view from the other corner of the “master bedroom.”
There is still a lot to do such as installing and painting the baseboards and doors, painting the kitchen walls, replacing the kitchen countertop and sink, and painting the “west wing,” then let’s not even get started on the bathroom! At least with the walls painted we can start the fun part of decorating!
I was hoping to show you some ‘before’ photos and I thought I had them on my computer but I can’t seem to find them right now so I’ll get those up here as soon as I do.
Happy Hump Day!
