Last Friday I showed you what I made the husband for Valentine’s Day and since I’m sure you’re all so curious what I got I’d thought I’d share it with you.
Well you know how every girl has a teenage heart throb? Mine wasn’t Eminem, or Nick Lachey, Usher, or Freddie Prince Jr. Nope. It was (and still is) Josh Groban.
There’s just something about those dark eyes, curly locks, the scruff, the quirky attitude (hold on a sec, it sounds like I’m describing my husband…) and of course, the voice.
Well, he just released a new c.d. right before Valentine’s Day (perfect timing on their part) so at 6:30 in the morning on Valentine’s Day when I went to start up my car I was surprised to find this…
The husband broke into my car the night before and even put the c.d. into the stereo so that it was all ready to go for me when I started up my car. How sweet!
Another purchase we made at West Elm last weekend were these tea towels. As they were a gift to me from me I wasn’t allowed to hang them up until V-Day.
I’ve been eyeing these puppies for months and thought I better scoop them up before they go. I (heart) the citron stripes and the monogram. Uber preppy if I do say so myself.
And carrying on with tradition, I walked into Chapter’s on Valentine’s Day and headed straight for the clearance section. Check out what I got for 50% off.
I’ve been eyeing this gold throw since Christmas and it wasn’t something I really needed but for 50% off at $20 how could I resist?! Even the husband seems to really be enjoying his gift.
This just may be my favourite little corner in the house right now… gold cozy throw + floral throw + fun polka dot pillow = love!
So that’s how our Valentine’s Day shaped out. Forget the red roses and the chocolates, all this girl really wants is something home decor related.
Are you a chocolate and flowers sorta person or are you like me in that even the simplest things (like kitchen towels) get you really excited?!

Aww how sweet of your hubby to put that CD in your car! I love the west elm towels and that throw!
I know, right?!
