A Weekend at West Elm

I typically work Monday to Friday and have my weekends free but with everything that’s been going on lately I’ve started working six days a week…(Oh, the joys of a family business!) Saturday was my one day off so I was determined to make the most of it. Generally, I do all of my cleaning, laundry and grocery shopping on Saturdays but since I didn’t want any of that on my day off I got all of that stuff done during the week.

With a coffee in hand we ventured out to West Elm on Granville Street. It’s a good thing we decided not to move out to that area because I’m pretty sure the employees at WE would know my name by now as I’d be in their every week.

We did pick up a few goodies for ourselves but they are part of our Valentine’s gifts to each other so I can’t share those with you until after February 14 but allow me to share some of the other goodies I was drooling over.

Such a cool tray. And since the husband and I are paint geeks we especially loved this.

WE2
Colourful lacquered boxes. I’ve got at least 3 of them already. I really don’t need another.

WE3
I really like the simplicity of this pendant. It’s beautiful without taking away from anything else in your space. I would love one above our dining table.

WE4
These stacked apothecary jars would look stunning on a bathroom counter filled with cotton swabs and Q-tips.

WE5
Another simple and beautiful light. It sort of reminds me of a paint stir stick :)

These are some gigantic terrariums. I really like their organic shape but sadly so does everyone else and they were sold out of their smaller size.

WE7
I’ve shown you this brass flatware once before and I’ll show you again. One day, just one day I will get my gold cutlery. And isn’t that a beautiful glass with the gold accent? It’s all in the details.

WE8
A very cute beehive cake stand.

WE9
I don’t know how well the paint would hold up when washing but this is a nice pop o’ colour for in the kitchen.

WE10
Because who doesn’t like candles? Especially in packaging like this.

WE12
You don’t have to be a geologist to love and appreciate rocks. Are these not beautiful book ends?! I would take ‘em.

WE13
Metallic polka dots. Enough said.

WE14
Love the honeycomb pattern of these appy bowls.

Well if the husband is ever stuck for gifts for his wife, this page might be of some benefit to him :)

What did everyone get up to this weekend? Anybody else do any window shopping?
