hellow yellow

I’ve always had a weakness for brightly painted front doors. It makes for a lovely pop of colour to sometimes an otherwise drab house. Pinterest is full of exotic front door colours that would be so much fun to have. Can you imagine every house on the block with a different coloured door?…how fun! I would love me a jalapeno green front door on a slate blue house or a magenta front door on a white house.

But there is one colour in particular that I am always drawn back to….yellow.

My favourite blog, Young House Love, painted their front door bright yellow last summer.

Tell me this doesn’t look amazing?!

Then, when I travelled to Prince Rupert, B.C. in February I came across a fish packing plant with this door colour…

And if that’s not enough, in the alley behind our local grocery store, look what colour these architects painted their back door…

Then, just a couple weeks ago, Young House Love, house crashed this family’s home in Cincinatti, Ohio. I especially love “Hello” written on the door.

So if you’ve got the itch and you want to paint your front door something funky check out these colours from Benjamin Moore…

2024-10/Chartreuse

2077-20/Gypsy Pink

Chances are it’s too cold in your part of the world to be doing any exterior painting right now but have a browse, get some ideas, and have a go at it in the springtime. Every time you pull up your driveway, there’s a bright, happy door to greet you :)
